Khao Sok National Park covers an area of about 645 square kilometers. It is one of Thailand's best preserved habitats for tropical vegetation and wildlife, with evergreen virgin jungle, waterfalls, sparkling clear rivers and streams, limestone cliffs, and many kinds of protected wildlife including monkeys and wild gaur. An area of about 20 square kilometers is occupied by a lake, a beautiful large reservoir which studded with jagged limestone cliffs.

The national park is home to thousands of species of birds, animals, insects, reptiles and plant life. Occupying a unique location near the Isthmus of Kra, this area is host to wildlife and plant species unique in all the world. Destinations include a natural swimming pool flanked by waterfalls on both ends, an eleven-tiered waterfall where wild animals are sometimes seen, and a natural rock arch over a stream. From June through November, float through this majestic landscape on a kayak or inner tubes.
